Confirmation Program
Faith in Action for Teens: Formation, Service, Community
OLPH Faith Formation is a two-year journey that helps teens know and live their Catholic faith through teaching, service, prayer, and community. We place each teen on the right path: the Confirmation Program (for those already baptized and with First Communion.
- Year 1: Creed & Sacraments
- Year 2: Morality & Prayer
- OCIT (for those needing Baptism and/or First Communion, preparing them for all three sacraments).
Beyond class time, teens serve at parish events, attend retreats, and belong to a positive peer community through Youth Group on Sundays, 6:00–8:00 PM. Confirmation classes meet Tuesdays, 6:45–8:00 PM.

Confirmation Mass

Your presence and prayers made the day a true celebration of the Holy Spirit’s work in our parish family. Congratulations to our newly confirmed young disciples—may the gifts of wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord inspire you to live your faith boldly every day. We’re grateful to Bishop Felipe Pulido, Fr. Derek, Fr. Minh, our catechists, sponsors, and especially the parents whose love and support made this two‑year journey possible. The new confirmation year is here! Whether you are returning from Confirmation 1 going into Confirmation 2 or you’re brand‑new, dive into faith, friends, and fun with the events below.

June 21st – Annual Parish Gala
6 PM reception • Parish Hall (semi‑formal)
A live DJ will set the mood while our teens handle table service and kitchen support—an excellent way to earn verified service hours. Volunteer spots are limited, so claim yours below.
June 29th – Summer Fundraiser
8 AM – 2 PM (after every Mass) • Holy Family Center
We’re hosting a bake sale to fund youth‑ministry formation. Sign up to volunteer for a shift—or drop off your favorite homemade pastries to help fill the tables. Every contribution makes a difference!
July 6 – Field Day & BBQ
3PM- 7PM at the Parish Field
Classic summer games—kickball, water‑balloon volleyball, relay races—followed by a lunch and . A signed permission slip is required for all participants.
July 11 – Catholic Night at the Padres
6:40PM – 9PM at Petco Park
Cheer on the Padres alongside thousands of Catholics and join the parish at the Catholic Night Padre Game. Tickets are $22 and available in the parish office while supplies last. This is a parish event, not a youth ministry event.
July 13 – Youth Night
An open evening for teens to unwind, connect, and grow in faith together. Expect a mix of high‑energy games, small‑group conversations about real‑life issues, and a short time of prayer or worship—all led by our core team in a relaxed, judgment‑free setting. Whether you’re new or a regular, come as you are, bring a friend, and leave recharged for the week ahead.
July 19 – Seaworld Day
11:30 AM – 8:00 PM • Depart/Return Seaworld Parking Lot
Spend a full day enjoying SeaWorld’s mix of high‑energy rides, animal encounters, and splash‑zone fun with your friends. Tickets: $60. Permission slip and payment lock in your spot
July 27 – Youth Night
6:00 – 8:30 PM • Social Center

August 9 – Beach Day
12PM– 4PM
Beach volleyball, football, sand castle tournament, potluck and group prayer. We bring shade, water, and music; you bring lunch, modest swimwear, and sunscreen. Permission slip required.
August 16 – Parkway Bowl Bash
4:30 – 6:30 PM • Parkway Bowl
Get ready for a night of strikes, slices, and serious bragging rights! For just $30, you’ll enjoy games of bowling, shoe rental, and all-you-can-eat pizza while competing with your friends for the top spot on the scoreboard. Don’t miss out—sign up and pay by July 6 to lock in your lane. Let’s make this a night to remember!
August 24 – Back‑to‑School Youth Night
Kick off the new school year with a potluck feast, ice‑breaker games, and a short reflection on what God might be calling each of us to this year. Bring a favorite dish to share, meet new friends, and set the tone for a year of faith‑filled adventure. No sign‑up—just come hungry and ready to connect!
August 31 – End of Summer Bake Sale Fundraiser
8:00 AM – 2:00 PM • After every Sunday Mass (At the Holy Family Center)
Help us end the summer on a sweet note! We need teens to staff two‑hour shifts, sell donated pastries, and handle cleanup. All proceeds go straight to next year’s youth‑ministry activities. Volunteer slots are limited—claim yours below!
