The OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults) is the process through which adults journey in faith toward full initiation into the Catholic Church through the Sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation.
Who is OCIA for?
If you’re an adult who feels drawn toward the Catholic Church—whether you’ve just begun asking questions, were baptized in another Christian tradition, or are a baptized Catholic still waiting to be confirmed—OCIA is designed to accompany you. It’s a welcoming pathway for anyone looking to start, deepen, or complete their journey of faith within the heart of the Church.
- Never baptized and exploring the Catholic faith
- Already preparing for full initiation (Baptism, Eucharist, Confirmation)
- Baptized in another Christian tradition, now seeking full communion with the Catholic Church
- Baptized Catholic who has not yet received the Sacrament of Confirmation
